Assignment 16A:

1)    Human Capital

-       I believe I have very good marketing skills due to past experience being a sales associate for West Marine and Bionic bait.
-       I have gained very good communication and collaboration skills through internships and projects over the years in study rooms.
-       Quick decision making over the past 5 years has helped my own commercial fishing business to grow into a distributor to wholesalers in South Florida.
-       Controlled emotions during chaotic moments in the work field have helped me become more aware of what to do during confusing and disorganized times.
-       Sticking to plan and staying on task has helped me enormously become a diligent worker in both school and in the business field.

2)    Interviewees

-       Roommate Ray: “You are very responsive to really any concern or question to anyone”
-       Sister Jenny: “You are a very good negotiator in business decisions and look at all possibilities”
-       Roommate Raeza: “Pretty good at being on top of new news and spreading it accordingly
-       Roommate Zach: “Very willing to try new things but also stay constant with things that work within your schedule”
-       Friend Dave: “Very committed person

3)    I see myself as a very motivated and controlled person whether that may be working or just hanging out in general. Many other people see me in this way and also have told me I am a very good negotiator and committed person to any challenge in my way. I think my work ethic is the main driving force when it comes to these skills and emotions.

    It can be a little difficult to look introspectively, but through this assignment, you were able to accomplish this task effectively. Even the interviews seemed to hint that you can look at things as they are, and understand that improvement is a constant process. By using what works and testing new ideas you will surely succeed in any field you decide to apply those skills.

  2. Hi Chris, I think you did a good job with this assignment. It's definitely a daunting task to have to ask people what they think of you, but rewarding when you see people think the same way of you as you see yourself. It's good that you notice your pros and use them to your advantage especially when negotiating, that'll be a vital skill.

    I think you did a great job on this assignment and I definitely saw correlation between the answers you got and what you thought about yourself. Negotiation especially is a very important skill in this field and I need to sharpen my own negotiation skills. It can be kind of daunting though! Great job and great interviews.
